While some paper writing services are slowly dying due to the COVID pandemic, EssayPro.com is growing rapidly. Their market experience, good reputation, and seemingly nice working conditions made me think of this company as a great place to make some cash. Instead of sitting in a dusty office, I could work without leaving home and do what I really like – creative writing. Good money and the comfort of my pajama pants: sounds cool, doesn't it?
Was it such a good idea IRL? I'll make this quick – no. Wanna know why? Read this EssayPro.com review to the end.
Whether you've learned about the company from your fellow students or while browsing online, one thing is clear – they've been around long enough to get a reputation among users as a reliable service. Essay Pro reviews on Reddit and customer review platforms like Trustpilot or Sitejabber prove it to be a go-to place for students from all walks of life and academic levels.
On the flip side, it's almost impossible to find feedback on behalf of ghostwriters who used to work there that goes beyond just stating the fact that working conditions at EssayPro are transparent – you bid for an order, fulfill it on time, and get your money. All in all, there is no evidence that they scam service's clients or writers.
Essay Pro login and registration procedures are quite easy for customers. But what if you wanna become a writer?
I contacted the service via on-site chat with my inquiry, and they gave me a link to another website, which turned out to be some kind of a gateway for new writers. I registered there, confirmed my identity, provided my diploma and several writing samples, completed a test task, and waited for the result with my fingers crossed – bingo, I'm hired! Their test assignment wasn't a difficult thing – just a two-page college-level essay on leadership.
A college diploma is not a must-have if you wanna work here, but it will definitely make you look better in the eyes of customers. That said, I must note that among writers, I've seen a lot of undergraduate students trying to earn a couple of extra bucks. So, some customers might end up paying for writing help from their dorm neighbour.
Enough with lyrics – let's get down to serious stuff. I'm going to share the inside dope – you're here for this, right?
EssayPro offers a wide range of services, from composing a simple essay to crafting a dissertation chapter. You can either order a paper written from scratch or get your draft rewritten. Unlimited free revisions come with every order. The minimum possible deadline is 6 hours, but let's be honest, this is only true for small orders. On top of a variety of services and affordable prices, they offer a discount coupon – so there're always lots of customers here, and that's cool.
Prices and salaries
EssayPro.com uses a bidding system. This is a plus for the writer in some way. I mean, you can set your own price. In real life, we, as writers, have always been guided by the average prices in the market. The minimum bid per page is $10.8.
At first glance, paper writing is a lucrative niche. College students (especially those in a hurry) can pay good money for their orders – a single page of essay with a 24-hour deadline can cost up to $50.
De facto, it doesn't work that way. Writers get 20-25% of the order cost. Still sounds quite well, doesn't it? However, if the client requests a refund, it is stopped out of the writer's salary. Run ragged and get paid peanuts – that's not the kind of thing I was looking for.
Payments are made twice a month – a small plus among a bunch of downsides.
The writer places a bid and expects to be selected. That is, if you're an only-just-begun and don't have a decent rating, most likely you won't be chosen. Freshers are forced to set lower prices and take on the worst orders just to gain experience and rating. More competition is good for the client, but not for the writer.
While communicating with the support team, I realized that not all of them are native speakers. Most of them were somewhere from Eastern Europe. Sometimes, it was even difficult to understand their messages.
Although working conditions and money paid leave much to be desired, EssayPro isn't a fraud website. It's a legit company if we turn a blind eye on their services' academic cheating aspect.
If you feel more comfortable picking orders from what is offered to you by service managers (that's how the vast majority of writing companies work), EssayPro is not for you. On the other hand, if you can boast solid writing experience and a rich portfolio of fulfilled projects, EssayPro might be right for you, as you will stand out from the crowd of other writers. For constant stress and order flow instability, I'd rate the EssayPro.com service at 7 out of 10. High competition, auction model, and –sometimes – working for chicken feed – are you sure you still want it? After 5 months, I decided that I've had enough.
